Do I need to be breastfeeding to work with you?
No. I support families with a wide range of feeding goals, including breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, and exploring feeding options that work best for your family. My care is non-judgmental and centered on your goals.
When is the best time to schedule a lactation consultation?
Support can be helpful at any stage — during pregnancy, in the early postpartum period, or later if challenges arise. Prenatal consultations are especially helpful for first-time parents or families with prior feeding challenges.
Do you offer in-person and virtual appointments?
Yes. I offer in-person and virtual consultations in Galveston County and surrounding areas depending on availability and your needs. Some concerns benefit from hands-on assessment, while others can be addressed virtually.
What happens during a lactation consultation?
During a consultation, we will review your feeding goals, medical and feeding history, and current concerns. You will receive individualized education, practical guidance, and a care plan tailored to your family.
How long are appointments?
Initial consultations typically last 60–90 minutes. Follow-up visits are shorter and focus on reassessment and ongoing support.
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, services are private pay. Invoices are provided following your visit and may be submitted to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, depending on your plan.
Do you offer sliding-scale or reduced-fee appointments?
Yes. A limited number of sliding-scale and community-rate appointments are available each month for families who are self-pay. Availability is limited, and rates are discussed at the time of booking. Please reach out if cost is a barrier to care.
What is the Direct Access fee?
The Direct Access fee provides optional access to my personal clinical phone number for brief, non-urgent questions between scheduled visits. This service supports continuity of care and does not replace a full consultation.
Can I text or call you anytime if I pay the Direct Access fee?
Direct Access is intended for brief questions and clarification only. It does not include ongoing texting, extended phone calls, or urgent concerns. Response times vary and are typically within business hours.
What if I have an urgent concern?
If you are experiencing an urgent medical concern, please contact your primary healthcare provider or seek emergency care. This practice does not provide emergency services.
Where are you located?
I serve families in Galveston County and surrounding areas. In-person and virtual options are available depending on location and availability.

How do I pay for services?
